Happening Now Near 5333 Connecticut: ZooLights at the National Zoo!
The weather is getting colder, and the end of the year is drawing near. As you make your list of ways to celebrate the holidays, don’t forget ZooLights at the National Zoo. This yearly favorite features more than a half a million twinkling lights, plus family-friendly events, shopping, and more. Popular attractions like gingerbread village, the interactive light display, and holiday-themed obstacle course will be back again this year, and are best viewed with a cup of hot chocolate in hand. There will also be a whole new line-up of performances from local schools, dance teams, and choirs.
And just like your normal Smithsonian Zoo visits, admission to ZooLights is absolutely free. Compared to all of the other holiday events in town, ZooLights might be one that you’ll want to visit twice. And with all there is to see and do, no two visits will be the same. ZooLights at the National Zoo runs November 29 through January 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening. Attendees are encouraged to take the Metro or other public transportation as parking is limited.
