5333 Connecticut is a 261 unit apartment community located at 5333 Connecticut NW in Washington, DC with 19 affordable units.  By agreement with the District of Columbia, 19 units will be reserved for individuals meeting the qualifications below.

Potential tenants must attend an IZ Orientation at a community organization and register for the IZ program through the Department of Housing and Community Development. Click here to register.

This is not subsidized housing.  Rents do not change based on applicant’s income.  Tenants will be responsible for paying the rent themselves.  These apartments are offered through the District of Columbia Inclusionary Zoning (IZ) Affordable Housing Program.  Potential tenants must first register for the IZ program through the Department of Housing and Community Development.  To register, visit:http://dhcd.dc.gov/service/inclusionary-zoning-affordable-housing-program.

In addition to income, household size and lottery selection, the following factors will be used to evaluate a household’s lease eligibility: References / Rental history / Employment history / Credit score and reports / Income verification / Criminal background screening. Applicants must be leasing the Affordable Unit as his or her full time residence and have no ownership or leasehold interest in any other housing.
